History of Arcanes:

For many centuries there have been those who have sworn their souls to the Order of Arcanes. These members have forged the paths of Light, which we each traverse as members today.

We began as the Clan of Arcanes, and were the first to adhere to a life of peaceful battle through the search for wisdom and magic. The first Deity, a powerful Immortal by the name of Dragonmage, gave the Arcanes their first home. These Arcanes grew through a turbulent period where the Great Clans of the Realms clashed often, on and off the battlefield. Those who were members held their heads high, and continually fought for peace and Light.

These brave members were together for many years, but the Clan could not survive the great Sundering when the Great Clans were ripped from the Realms. The Arcanes were also split, and many were lost in the violence of these times. However, their spirit survived and would soon be reborn, this time into the Order of Arcanes. As time passed, the souls of the Arcanes began to drift together once more. This time, under the guidance of a strong Leader by the name of Cyrax, and a Deity by the name of Adonia, the Arcanes were formed anew.

Assuming their role as the protectors of Light throughout the Realms, the Arcanes sought out those of powerful Magicks to join their brethren. The search for wisdom and knowledge led all members into far reaches of the Realms, bringing back the tales of heroism and adventure which followed their travels. Many great evils were felled through this time, and much knowledge was accumulated.

The Order of Arcanes continues to work towards their goals of knowledge and wisdom. All members attempt to adhere to the strict code which marks them as Arcanes, and each member is treated as a distinct person, capabable of great success. The path of Light has always been our way, and it shall until the end of time.
